02/09/2012 - Bentley awards grant to reduce domestic violence in Lawrence County
[Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs] Domestic violence victims in Lawrence County will continue to receive support from a dedicated law enforcement unit thanks to a $92,650 grant from Gov. Robert Bentley. The Lawrence County Domestic Violence Unit responds to domestic disturbances, works with victims and offenders to reduce occurrences and connects victims with additional assistance. -

02/08/2012 - Governor Bentley Requests Public Assistance for Three Counties Impacted by January Storms
[Governor Bentley's Office] MONTGOMERY- Governor Robert Bentley on Wednesday announced the state is formally requesting the Federal Emergency Management Agency to authorize the Public Assistance Grant Program to aid jurisdictions in Jefferson, Chilton, and Perry Counties as they recover from the effects of severe weather that occurred on the week of January 22nd. -
02/08/2012 - Bentley awards grant to rehabilitate young sex offenders
[Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs] Gov. Robert Bentley has awarded a $408,170 grant to continue a Department of Youth Services program that holds juvenile sex offenders accountable while seeking to change their behavior. The department’s Continuum of Care program holds juveniles responsible for their actions and teaches them the consequences of their behaviors through individual counseling. -
